Significant Numbers

There is a lot going on as far as today and tomorrow. At the first of every month me and Hanna add another month on to the time since we have been together making today our 11 month marker. Today is the last day of school for me, which I feel completely weird about. Tomorrow I will have been working as a pizza boy for a year, sad but full of good and bad memories that I would never take back.

Anyways it's 4 o'clock and guess what I have been doing... make sure you notice the Jesus sketch that isn't ruined by my computer editing skills, or the lack of.

Galen's Bug

I wouldn't at all say that I'm a photographer, I have an okay camera and it was something that I have for the most part lost interest in. These pictures were taken for a photography class last minute. I didn't pass the class, but I did get to take some pretty good pictures for one of my best friends. Considering this is a stock flash and were taken in my works parking lot I think I did pretty good.

If Seeing is Believing

I will be playing shows throughout the summer with my band Dead as Lions. Our first one to kick the summer off is June 1 @ The Basement in Ogden. Expire, Xibalba, and Like Wolves will also be playing. Although I don't know how far this will go I'm still excited to be consistently playing shows again. Trial N' Error

The last couple nights I have been doing some pretty basic drawings when I have had a couple minutes. They haven't been anything too great and their is a lot of obvious mistakes, but that's the only way I see myself getting better at drawing a variety of things. Here's a couple examples...

Class of 2010

So lately I haven't used this thing at all. Mostly I haven't cared because I am lazy, and I doubt anyone really looks at it anyways. I have just been trying to graduate and keep my life together.

Luckily through all of the stress I have been able to do one painting. It's nothing all too special but it's my first attempt at doing a flash sheet and doing a full painting. Hope ya like it.

The Utah Hardcore

I have a couple other posts that I am working on but I thought something a little different would be good. One thing that I have and always will have a passion for is hardcore music. I currently don't make it out to very many of the few shows that we have in Utah but I'm hoping that will change in the near future.

Over at Grudge City Activities(There is a link to their site on the right hand side of the blog) they have done two posts for a DIY Guide on Booking Shows. I highly recommend EVERYONE to read this. Booking shows could become something you're very interested in. I myself at this point in time don't see myself doing it but I would really like to see someone step up and consistently book shows for the right reasons.

Day Off

Recording Begins

This week I finally got the recording equipment that I have been waiting to get for years. Yesterday we went through and did a quick recording with Rivals (New Dead as Lions) and it came out sounding very good for being so half done. Hopefully we'll be ready to do a full demo in a couple weeks and Right on Track will be ready to finally have a good sounding release.

In about a month or so I will be recording demo's for bands part time. I'm not sure how I will work out pricing but It will be the cheapest best deal around.

P.S. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for helping me out and believing in me, I love you more than you will ever know...

Valentines Day

I bought some paintin' supplies the other day after getting tattooed and barely got around to using them today. I have no clue what I'm doing and it shows. Luckily my lovely ladie took the time to make a mess with me and we did a painting together.

She did the left side and I did the right.

And since she was extra slow I did another little on for her.

Probably finished with this. This is the first thing I have drawn and made into a design with Illustrator and Photoshop. It's not the best but I don't think it's too bad for a first try.

Just finished the outline of this drawing. Maybe I'll use it for a shirt design or something.

Walking

So this is my first post. Things are looking okay as far as the appearance of the blog but I'm still working on making it look better.
